There are innovators.
There are speakers.
There are investors.

And then there is Felecia Hatcher — my cousin — a woman whose brilliance feels as expansive in the boardroom as it does around the family table.

This Women’s History Month, I have the privilege of celebrating not only a global force in innovation, but someone whose warmth, laughter, and authenticity make her impact even more extraordinary.

Many know Felecia as the author of Start Your Business on a Ramen Noodle Budget, a practical and empowering guide that has helped countless aspiring entrepreneurs believe they can start with what they have. But what I admire most is that she doesn’t just write about resourcefulness — she embodies it.

As Co-Founder of Code Fever and Black Tech Week, she has been on a mission to eliminate what she calls “innovation deserts” — communities filled with talent but starved of access. Through coding boot camps, youth programs, and transformative tech summits, she has opened doors for African American and Caribbean innovators who may have never seen themselves reflected in the tech world before.

And she does it all with heart.

When Felecia speaks on global stages — from Google London to the United Nations — she brings strategy, yes. She brings frameworks, yes. But she also brings humanity. She connects. She listens. She laughs. She challenges rooms to think bigger while making each individual feel seen.

Her journey from launching Feverish Pops — a purpose-driven gourmet popsicle company serving brands like Google, Airbnb, and Adidas — to now serving as CEO of Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition Opportunity Fund is nothing short of visionary.

Through her leadership, entrepreneurs have connected to over $100 million in funding. That number is impressive. But the real story is the lives behind it — founders who now see themselves differently because someone believed in their genius.

That is what Felecia does. She sees genius before the world recognizes it.

Corporations like Amazon, Spotify, Samsung, and Target call on her to solve complex internal challenges around innovation, leadership, and engagement. Yet the same woman advising Fortune 500 companies will turn around and pour into a young founder with the same level of care and intensity.

Her accolades are many — White House Champion of Change, Harvard Young American Leader, Echoing Green Fellow, Essence Tech Master — but titles never define her. Her spirit does.

She has the rare ability to make big vision feel accessible. To make rooms feel lighter while conversations grow deeper. To challenge systems without losing compassion.

Watching her evolve over the years has inspired me personally. She reminds me — and so many others — that impact and integrity can coexist. That business can be bold and deeply human. That genius lives everywhere when someone is willing to nurture it.

This Women’s History Month, I celebrate my cousin not just for what she has built, but for who she is.

Felecia Hatcher is not simply changing industries.
She is changing lives.
And she is doing it with brilliance, courage, and unmistakable heart.
