DR WENDY LABAT

What is your “Speaker Superpower”?
I am known as “The Financial Healer,” who empowers entrepreneurs, business executives, and individuals to ease the pain of inflation, overcome anorexic income, obese debt, spending addictions, eliminate knowledge deficiencies, develop mindset transformation, and address other financial ills beyond calculating numbers.
How does your message empower others?
The Financial Cures System® is a results-based program for financial mastery designed to empower individuals with the tools, resources, and strategies to transform their mindset, gain control of their finances, establish proper protection to prevent financial ruin, implement tax strategies that minimize liabilities, navigate the effects of global economic factors, and create customized action plans that move them from their current financial condition to the life and legacy they desire.
What inspired you to start speaking or coaching?
I began my entrepreneurial journey over four decades ago with no business experience and very limited financial resources. This was a time when there was no internet, social media, Google, or ChatGPT. The only thing you could do with a cell phone was make an expensive phone call. My clients were major corporations and government agencies. In order to be considered for significant consistent business opportunities you had to project a certain image. That image included a brick-and-mortar office, employees, inventory, and all the overhead that goes with it. If you projected anything less, you were considered a “mom and pop” operation not capable of handling their business. I projected the right image, but that image was expensive and the overhead to paid whether or not the business was profitable. I eventually earned their business. As a rookie entrepreneur, I lacked understanding of some basic business and financial principles that landed my company finances in the “ICU on life support.” I learned some hard lessons along the way but was able to get my company finances off life support, out of the financial ICU and to profitability.

In 2014, the government mandated that everyone have health insurance, so I expanded my business to include insurance and financial services. Part of my business and marketing strategy was to buy the same products and services I sold my clients. They would ask what I had and where my money was. I could tell them with integrity what I had and where my money was.

In 2017, I was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of breast cancer. I chose a very aggressive for of treatment because I was determined to kick breast cancer’s A$$. That aggressive treatment meant chemotherapy every three weeks for a year, 5 surgeries, continuous tests and labs to monitor the disease, and several prescription drugs to counteract the side effects of the chemotherapy. My mind and body took a beating. I suffered from “Chemo Brain,” lost all my hair, lashes, and brows. I literally had no fingernails of toenails. I looked like a skeleton with a layer of skin. On the bright side, I saved a fortune on salon visits, manicures, pedicures, and body waxing.

The aggressive treatment I chose cost almost $1.5 million dollars. Thank God I practiced what I preached. My health insurance paid all my medical bills. The supplemental products I purchased as part of my business and marketing strategy provided me with multiple six figure tax-free financial cash infusions that allowed me to fucus on my recovery without worrying about money. Can you imagine having almost $1.5 million in medical bills in addition to your personal and business expenses while battling an aggressive form of breast cancer?

Once I was declared cancer-free, I praised the Lord saying that “I’m happy, healthy, wealthy, and in my comfort zone.” He asked me if I thought he brought me through my entrepreneurial and cancer journeys to stay in my comfort zone. I was hoping that was the case, but instead He sent me on a crusade to empower others to not let an illness or injury ruin them financially. I am charged with empowering others to transform their mindset, take control of their finances, become financially free, create generational wealth, and live the life they desire. My situation could have ruined me financially but instead it sent me on a crusade that opened the door to a lucrative business opportunity.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever received in your career as a speaker?
Integrity is a Financial Asset. Before you can build wealth, you must build trust. Your word is your first form of currency—handle it with care, honor it with consistency, and let it create access, opportunities, and relationships that money alone will never be able to buy. There are doors that money will never open, but integrity will.
What are some of your most memorable moments or achievements in this field?
Some of my most memorable achievements and defining moments include the creation of “The Financial Cures System®”—a results-driven program designed to help individuals and organizations achieve true financial mastery. Writing the best-selling Financial Cures Book Series, including “Diagnose Your Financial Health” and “Optimize Your Financial Health,” producing and hosting of the multiple award-winning global streaming show, “Financial Cures with Dr. Wendy Labat.”

I have been honored with the 2024 Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award, featured on the covers of several magazines, interviewed on numerous podcasts, and invited to speak on stages across the nation and around the world.

These accomplishments represent milestones in my journey—but they are not what I value most. Despite these achievements, what matters most to me are the lives that have been transformed. The testimonials of my clients who have taken control of their finances, become financially free, created generational wealth, and living the life they desire are the true confirmation that my work is meaningful and effective.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about recognition, it’s about results. It’s about knowing that what I’ve built is not just a brand, but a solution. Not just a system, but a healing process. And not just a business, but a crusade that is transforming lives.
The success stories and testimonials of those impacted by The Financial Cures brand stand as the true measure of my work and its lasting impact.

How do you stay motivated and inspired to continually grow your influence?
I stay motivated by aligning with God’s purpose for my life. My work is connected to something bigger than money—something rooted in alignment, impact, service, and transformation. I don’t have to chase motivation. I show up with discipline, move with consistency, and operate with clarity.

When purpose is clear, growth becomes inevitable. I wake up each morning with gratitude, prayer, and praise. I decree and declare. I thank God for another day, another opportunity to change lives, and fulfil my purpose.

How does your brand reflect your core values?
My brand is a direct reflection of my core values, integrity, faith, service, and transformation.

Everything I teach through The Financial Cures System® is rooted in the belief that financial health is not just about numbers—it’s about mindset, behavior, and alignment. I don’t just talk about financial strategies; I live them.
Integrity is at the foundation of my brand. I’ve built my reputation on trust, transparency, and results.

My faith keeps me grounded in purpose and provides direction. My service keeps me connected to people and creates impact, and transformation is the outcome that delivers results.

My brand isn’t just what I say, it’s my values in action. How I live, how I serve, and the results I help others achieve.
My brand is my values in action and not just about financial education—it’s about financial healing.

What do you want audiences to remember after experiencing your presentation or session?
I want people to leave my presentation thinking differently… seeing differently… and ultimately, living differently, and realize that they are not broken. Their financial habits can be healed.

I want audiences to know that their financial situation does not define them—and that change is possible. I want them to understand that financial health is not just about numbers; it’s about mindset, behavior, and alignment. And once those areas are addressed, transformation becomes inevitable. Their past does not dictate their financial future, and they have the power to take control, make intentional decisions, and become financially free, create wealth, and live the life they desire.

Most importantly, I want them to walk away empowered with:
clarity and a new mindset about money, confidence and a clear sense of control over their finances, and a strategic action plan they can implement immediately.

Information without action changes nothing.
If I’ve done my job right, they won’t just be informed, they’ll be transformed.

What has been your biggest learning experience as a speaker or consultant?
One of my biggest learning experiences as a speaker and consultant is understanding that transformation doesn’t happen through information alone, it happens through connection. Information informs… but connection transforms.

Early on, I thought delivering the right strategies was enough. But I learned that people don’t change just because they know better… they change when they see themselves in the message and do better. This is an example of confusing and conflating financial health with financial literary. Financial literacy is knowing what to do and financial health is result of what you do. One of my greatest lessons is that knowledge alone does not create results—application does. Application only happens when there are emotional connection, clarity, and belief.

That’s why my approach goes beyond teaching financial strategies—I focus on mindset, behavior, and real-life application. When I began to connect my personal experiences—my financial challenges, my journey through the financial ICU, even my battle with cancer—to the principles I teach, everything shifted.

People didn’t just listen; they focused on what I was saying. They trusted. They acted. That’s when I realized If I want to change lives, I have to speak to both the head and the heart.

What advice would you give to aspiring speakers, coaches, or consultants who want to make an impact?
My advice is simple: focus on impact, not influence. Too many people are chasing visibility instead of value. But real impact comes from solving real problems and delivering actual results.

Be authentic. Don’t just teach what you’ve learned, teach what you’ve lived. Build your message on a foundation of integrity. Your word, your consistency, and your ability to deliver results will take you further than any marketing strategy ever will.
And most importantly—commit to growth. Continue to learn, evolve, and refine your craft.
Because when you focus on impact, influence will follow.
