Sandra R. Kiser has been writing since she was a little girl. Sandra is a graduate of Wayne State University with a B.A. in English and holds a graduate certificate in Professional Writing from the University of Central Florida. Sandra began her career in the Public Relations Department at WSU. She later began working as a technical editor in the A/E/C (architectural, engineering, and construction) industry and later transitioned into the marketing department. She works as a Senior Proposal Manager with a construction management firm. Sandra has written several articles for the Florida Engineering Society Journal.
Sandra co-authored a book of poetry in 2003 with one of her sisters titled, Alfresando: Reflections of Love. Her poem “Attitudes” was published by The National Library of Poetry. In November 2020, she published her first book on Alzheimer’s dedicated to her mom and brother. Mysterious Wonderment: When Alzheimer’s Disease Becomes Your Word of the Day was #1 in Dementia, #7 in Aging Parents, and #8 in Alzheimer’s on release day on Amazon.
Last December Sandra published a children’s book titled The Amazing Adventures of the Jolly Heart Squad to help them better understand Alzheimer’s disease. There is also an accompanying coloring book for younger children to introduce them to the main characters.
Sandra currently resides in Central Florida and enjoys reading, writing, nurturing relationships with family and friends, relaxing, and watching the sun rise over the ocean.
