Your voice is your most powerful weapon. You use your voice to express your ideas, share a story, and define your identity.
Your voice gives you the power to change, inspire others, and motivate those around you.
Just look at the greatest leaders in history such as Mahatma Gandhi or Martin Luther King, TED speakers, or even political figures – they all use their voices to spread a message and drive transformation.
For a woman, her voice is not just a tool of self-expression, but also a way to communicate her values, desires, and passions. Her voice is a medium through which she can find and create purpose in life.
Today I want to share with you 5 ways to use your voice to find your inner power and purpose
- What’s your story?
Everyone loves listening to stories. Stories are relatable, inspiring, and entertaining.
Whether we talk about a story of success, resilience, or adversity, stories create deeper and intimate connections. Think about it: when did you feel a friend was closer to you? Was it during your most vulnerable self? Was it when you were your truest self?
By being a storyteller, you are inspiring others and gaining clarity on the message and purpose you want to share with the world.
- Leverage opportunities to speak up
Finding purpose can be done through many mediums such as writing, public speaking, social media or even speaking engagement. Every opportunity you get to express yourself, do it; each step you take, will bring you closer to discovering yourself and your purpose.
- Listening is a form of communication
It is not enough to speak and share your message, it is equally important to listen to other inspiring stories and speakers to feel inspired and spark an interest in finding your own purpose. The more you listen, the more you will be able to find what resonates with you the most. My own example was when I listened to Meghan Markle’s speech at the United Nations where she said these exact words: “Let’s give a voice to the voiceless”
It was at this particular point, I found my vocation and purpose of empowering other women.
- Identify your 3 Ps ( Passion, Purpose, and Power)
- Passion: what motivates you every day? What do you enjoy most doing every day? Reflect on what makes you most alive
- Purpose: How do you want to be remembered? What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? Identify your values and what matters to you the most
- Power: what are your unique talents? What are your unique strengths? What is your competitive advantage? Harness the power within you to make an impact
- Journal Your Thoughts
Finding your purpose is also about writing down your thoughts to get clarity. Writing is a form of speaking. Instead of using your voice, you are simply expressing your thoughts in a different manner. Journaling can help you organize your thoughts, uncover your deepest aspirations, and define your ultimate goals in life.
- Build small habits and be consistent
Identifying your purpose is not an overnight thing. It takes time and effort, but simple actions such as getting on podcast shows, speaking engagements, or even mentoring other people help you get closer to what you are truly meant to do. Use these opportunities to explore what genuinely lights you up and evoke your true emotions.
So, how will you use your voice today? Start small. Speak with your heart and with intention Your story deserves to be heard.
